On 10 June 1215, Prince Louis of France, King Alexander of the Scots and several of the important English barons marched on London to force King John to sign the 'Articles of the Barons.'

No King Alexander of the Scots retreated back to Scotland late 1214 he had invaded down into England possibly as far south as Yorkshire. King John And King Alexander never met.

Prince Louis had not landed in England, Magna Carta was actually 15th June 1215, Louis landed in 1216, to claim the throne on behalf of France but also because the general populace and many Barons were so stalled off with King John.

However on King John's death in October 1216 William 'Earl Marshall' led the defence of the realm, most of the populace were quite happy to back the new child King Henry III, and so Prince Louis was routed at Dover and went back home.
