Located within walking distance of Yosemite West is the Henness Ridge Fire Lookout area. It provides a flat plateau area similar to Glacier Point but without crowds and devoid of local light. It provide a full sky without trees or other impediments to the night sky. There are several concrete platforms to provide solid mounting surfaces. About 800 yards from Yosemite West Condos.
