In the last year i have purchased two used model 12 winchester pump shotguns manufactured in the early 1950's. one is a 12 ga, the other a 20 gauge.

in both cases i have a problem that my local gunsmith has been unable to solve.

when the gun is fired and then pumped, you have to push the forearm ahead very slightly,a click is heard and then you can complete the ejection and reload cycle. the forearm cannot be moved back until you complete this slight push forward.

as both guns do this, i assume it must be somewhat common.

anybody out there have an answer to correct this annoyance.
