In the fifties did Elvis play in segregated or unsegregated venues? Was there race mixing at Elvis Presley concerts?

I've been an Elvis fan from the beginning, and I don't recall Elvis ever playing to an all black audience. I may be wrong. but those in attendance at his concerts throughout his performing years were mostly white folks.
