I own a Sharp mod.#Qt-CD20 boombox from 1988 in pretty good cond. and Great sound.I have a problem w/ the play button on my single cass. player not engaging; it snaps off as soon as I push it down. I try holding the button down & it just clicks w/ a snap,snap,snap, sound and will disengage the play button immediately.The other functions on the cass. player All work and everything spins as it should.I am going to disassemble the boombox and carefully check things out.The only problem is I dont know what could cause this type of thing.I am not afraid to look; I really need some good feedback from some one of you nice people out there who may have experienced similar problems w/ cass. players.I really love to find and try to fix many different types and models of Boomboxes,mainly early 80's to late 90's.I sort of collect them and try my best to learn. I love these things !
