I have noticed several Bald-faced hornets around my garden shed. They seemed to have created holes in the siding up near the facia (i know they are not carpenter bees) and go into them. I am aware what their 'paper' nests look like and have not seen one around. I am wondering then, are they are harvesting the wood from the shed siding? Any insight into their behavior would be helpful. Thank you.
