I have a 5 month old coal tit with a damaged front toe. Its turned white and pointing upwards, seemingly dead.
he does not seem to be in any pain yet I'm worried that if whatever has caused this could spread to the rest of his foot and leg.
I also think that the stress and trauma caused by taking him to a vet might just give him a heart attack so I'm shying away from this.
There seems to be no way out of him loosing this toe... Any advice would be much appreciated?
