I can remember as a young lad experiencing a huge Thunderstorm in the Autumn of 1976 in the London area . This particular storm began at 23.30 pm (approx) and didn't finish untill 05.00 am (approx) the following morning . During the whole duration of the storm there wasn't a single gap between the Lightning and the Thunder . Is this one of the most voilent Thunderstorms we have experienced in the UK in recent years ? Are we due another Thunderstorm like it ?
