I am searching for a quote that was attributed to Daniel Boone. There had been a diaster in a community and some suggested tax money be used to assist. Daniel Boone reportedly said that he could not find in the Constitution any power given to take money from one group (taxes) to assist another regardless the need.

Does anyone know if this is legend, or if not, where the actual quote could be found? Thanks.
