I am doing research for a Veterans History Report on B-17H models with Lockheed? radar installed. My subject states that the ball turret wss removed and the radar dom installed in it's place. They used the radar for air to ground precision bombing of Ploesti in 1944. We're talking the 15th AF, 99th BG and 346 Sq.
