Hello: I'm looking for a Arisaka Type 38 rifle (not carbine) that was produced between 1906 and 1918. I do not want a Type 38 produced after the First War. Problem is that I have not been able to find a method of identifying the earlier Type 38s. Most sellers and history databases simply refer to the dates of model run (1906-1945) and the various arsenals where these rifles were produced which is interesting but doesn't help me. I have not been able to find a method for identifying the Type 38s that were produced before 1918.

Does anybody know how I can do this???
