Christianity is a world religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Christ is the Son of God and that he came to the Earth to save mankind from its sins.

There are many branches of Christianity; some are quite liberal but many others, such as Southern Baptist, are quite strict.

The Holy Spirit resides in each True Believer. If the believer seeks the Truth, God will not keep it from him/her.

Your statement presupposes that the Catholic Church leaders are doing the will of God. Since they're human, they're exposed to the same temptations and frailties as is any other human being.

Relying totally upon an intermediate interpreter opens the follower to the possibility of being misled. Institutionalized religion is something of which to be wary.

Wrong. The teachings of Jesus (aka the tenets of the Jerusalem Church) were lost when the Romans sacked and destroyed Jerusalem for their revolt in AD70. Christianity as it exists today is a hybrid of Greco-Roman mystery cult beliefs made popular by Constantine the Great and the early Church fathers who came afterwards. The New Testament was written by Greeks and Romans for a Roman audience; the early church fathers added things as time went on, things that had nothing to do with Jesus. They also picked and chose what stayed in and what was left out. What was left in was heavily rewritten and edited to conform with their vested interests at the time.
