Middle East discussion

Through all my scholar visits to the US and in all the forums, seminars, and even during informal get-togethers that I participated in I have noticed that americans are scared of discussing any subject involving Israel or Women. Find me one american who would criticize either with a straight faced. Taking into mind that as a free soul you may voice your openion. Is it the fear of being antisemetic in the first and sexist in the second? and if so, do you think its fair to be so? Why wouldn't you be so when you freely voice you hatred to Persians, Arabs, Irish, ..etc? Isn't that prejudice as well?
I think people are not the same. They're good and bad. But what is the secret behind this biased prejudice in most americans?

The word "God" in the Bible - how very weird.

but in the French Bible that will be "Dieu", and in the Italian "Dio" , and in the Greek "Theos" , and so on through thousands of languages: so what are all those ACRONYMS for ?

And of course, the ORIGINAL BIBLE was not on English.
Are you suggesting that "someone " has taken over the English Bible for some Reason ?
