. The southeast side of Przedecz borders on Lake Przedecz.

Przedecz is first mentioned in historical sources in 1136. Municipal laws were introduced in 1365 by Kazimierz the Great. A castle with a round tower dating from that time was reconstructed in the 1970s.
The town hall was built in 1826. Other sites of interest are an early 20th century neo-gothic church.

, the Jewish community of Przedecz was wiped out by the Nazis. There are no longer Jews living in the town , although many of the old buildings used by Jews remain.
