, are called in to investigate the robbery. The story of Prince concerns a sharp and intelligent burglar named Prince (Vivek Oberoi).

One morning, he wakes up, and can't recover his past. His servant named P.K tells him a little bit about his life. He goes to a club and meets his girlfriend Maya, who is not the real Maya. The next day he meets another girl named Maya who claims to be his girlfriend and says the other one is lying. He believes the second Maya. She also claims that they work for the police and they are after a man named Sarang. She says we need to find a coin and give it to Sarang and then the cops will arrest him right there. They are all looking for the coin. This coin has a chip in it that can go into your mind and change your thoughts completely. Maya tells him to find the coin. They find it inside his shoe and they go to give it to Sarang. Then Sarang starts beating up Prince. Prince finds out that the second "Maya" is really named Serena and works for Sarang. Also, his servant P.K works for Sarang too. Then they find out that the coin is fake. The real Maya comes to save Prince and tells him the whole story. She says that they put the chip inside Prince so that he could work for Sarang and then they started running away. The reason Prince remembered his memory until he slept is because the chip made his brain like a computer. Once he woke up, he would forget everything. Him and Maya rent a hotel, and the next day, they meet Sarang and he tells them a side effect, that every morning when Prince wakes up his brain crashes. It results to a lot of pain. He can only live 6 days like that. This day, was the last day. They had to find the coin, so Prince could be saved. Prince and Maya find the coin and Serena starts chasing them. They jump off a hotel, and Prince falls off. He is ok and he catches the coin. But then, he gets another hammerage and faints. A car comes and pulls him into it, and runs away. Maya gets a phone call saying if she wants Prince alive she has to come to this location. They find out that it is a friend of Prince Mike and that Sarang offered them money to find the coin. With Mike is also the first Maya prince had met at the club, who's real name is Priya. They are about to save Prince when Priya asks Mike if she can see the coin. He gives her the coin, but she runs away with it. Then Mike tells the real Maya that that was the fake coin and he has the real coin. When they are fixing Prince, Priya comes back and says Save Me. Then somebody shoots her. Sarang and his gang are there. They get the coin and start running away. Prince wakes up from his fainting and calls the police and starts beating people up. Sarang and his gang escape, but Prince puts a tracking device on Sarang's shoe given to him by the real Maya. They track him down and blow up the cars. Sarang gets away and starts running away. Prince catches him and beats him up, getting the coin, and Saaang falls off a waterfall. They get Prince and they are all happy that they defeated Saraang. In the end it shows Serena and suddenly her eyes open.......

The film did well in many places, and dominated at places primarily having single screens. Prince opened in the US in 54 screens, and fetched US$ 89,047 in its opening weekend and debuted at #36 at the US box office.  rated the movie 3 out of 5 saying "Prince has all merits to strike a chord with the youth", praising Vivek Oberoi's 'bravura' performance, the film's 'Hollywood style' look and action sequences, as well as the music. Noyon Jyoti Parasara of AOL India gave 3 out of 5 to the film saying, "once you are willing to let go off your beliefs and logic – like you really can’t jump off a cliff on your bike and remain unscratched – you would like the film."

Ankit Ojha from Planet Bollywood rated the movie 8 stars out of 10, stating that the movie, "has the global appeal of a slick action-thriller flick, and yet entices the Bollywood audience with its paisa-vasool experience". He gave a thumbs-up to Vivek Oberoi's performance, stating that, "Prince has literally put Vivek Oberoi on a completely new level. Never at once does he look uncomfortable doing any scene; he looks completely at ease throughout this. Whether it’s the stunts, the intimate scenes or the cool attitude, he doesn’t play the character here; he literally ‘is’ the character." He praised the movie and found it technically stoid, having a good screenplay by writer Shiraz Ahmed and an equally "gripping" execution by director Kookie Gulati.

On the other hand, Omar Qureshi of Zoom rated the movie 2.5 out of 5 saying, "The film is over the top and unrealistic." Indiatimes.com rated the movie 2 out of 5 stars saying, "The film has taken the audience for granted, which shows us gadgets hard to believe and futuristic and that such futuristic shows should be limited to Hollywood.". Subhash K. Jha gave the film 2 out of 5 stars, and said, "Prince wears its super-cool shirt with the slogan ‘Come Watch Me’ with a little bit too much aggression. But if you love popcorn crunching adventure stories watch Vivek Oberoi play the hero from the hemisphere of hijinks." He praised Oberoi's acting and the action sequences, saying that "To his credit Oberoi carries off the ceaseless stint with the stunt with arresting aplomb[...]The expertly-executed stunts frequently see our hero jumping down high-rise buildings in breathtaking leaps of fate, with the camera pulling back in respectful awe."

, the film wears a bad look, has little good locations, but is 'nil' on the acting quotient. In their opinion, none of the heroines delivered performances worth even a mention. On the other hand, they did say that Vivek Oberoi delivered a good performance. They also said that the action is beyond belief and is unreal.

Box office

The film performed reasonably well during the first week upon its release, however its business fell by around 80% in the second week, largely attributed to its huge price tag. The film was declared a flop by the box office India.
