Xiao Gang has been Chairman of the Board in Bank of China Limited since August 2004. He used to serve as Head of Bank in the Company. He is also Chairman of the Board in BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Ltd. Xiao also served as Assistant Head and Deputy Head of the People's Bank of China
