William Forsythe grew up in the neighborhoods of Flatbush (living on both Nostrand and Snyder Avenues) and East Flatbush a.k.a. Old Mill Basin (on E. 56th Street between Avenues N and O) in Brooklyn. While in Flatbush he attended nearby Holy Cross School located on Church Avenue between Veronica Place and Woods Place, graduating 8th grade in 1969.
