Vision Critical is a strategic global market research and technology firm that creates software and services solutions for a diverse roster of international clients. The company was founded by Andrew Reid in 2000 amid the collapse of the dot com era and now has offices across North America, Europe and Australia. Vision Critical is a Microsoft Gold ISV Partner. Its SparqTM community panel platform software has over 3,000 users and 21 million respondents. An average of 2,000 SparqTM surveys are deployed every month. Deloitte recently named Vision Critical the 12th fastest-growing technology company in Canada (6th in 2009) and the 44th fastest in North America in 2009. The company reported a 50% increase in revenue for the 2009 fiscal year.
Vision Critical is divided into multiple business units including:
  • Client services: providing full service market research consulting.
  • Global Panels: proprietary general population panels in Canada, US and UK.
  • Operations: including panel support, incentives, project management and data analysis.
  • Technology solutions: develops a wide range of technology solutions for research, such as SparqTM, a community panel platform used by 25% of the world's top brands including MTV, Starbucks and General Motors and ReactionPlusTM, a tool used to gauge the reactions of an audience to an audio or video clip.
