Situated on former Duda Ranch and scrub forest land, Viera is a master planned community in Brevard County, Florida, located in the Space Coast region. It is unincorporated. Viera is home to many of the county government's buildings. It also contains the Space Coast Stadium, home field for the Brevard County Manatees, former spring training home to the Florida Marlins.

Situated on former Duda Ranch and scrub forest land, Viera is a master planned community in Brevard County, Florida, located in the Space Coast region. It is unincorporated. Viera is home to many of the county government's buildings. It also contains the Space Coast Stadium, home field for the Brevard County Manatees, former spring training home to the Florida Marlins. It is now the spring training home of the Washington Nationals who were known as the Montreal Expos until 2005. The population of Viera (as of 2000) is approximately 19,083.
Viera is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
The area contains wetlands. There is a regional park.
Neighborhoods
Neighborhoods include Gatwick Manor, Daintree, Sunstone Estates, Terramore, Eason Landing, Cortona, and Levanto, all part of the new Viera West Expansion and The Villages Of South Solerno. The older part of viera includes Wickham Lakes, The Villages of Viera East, Viera East Golf Club etc. which consists of the Bennington, Somerville, Templeton, Auburn Lakes and Wingate Estates subdivisions, surrounding the Ralph M. Williams, Jr. Elementary School.
History
An overpass crossing I-95 in central Viera opened in November 2007, joining Viera East and Viera West via an extension of Viera Boulevard. This reduced travel time to government offices.
Economy
The Avenue Viera, a shopping center opened in 2004. The grand opening was delayed somewhat due to Hurricanes Frances and Jean
The Avenue contains shops and restaurants, Rave Motion Pictures Theaters , and several Big Box retailers including Bed, Bath and Beyond, Office Depot and The Sports Authority.
Athletics
There are two 18-hole golf courses.
There is a Regional Park which has 5 lit baseball fields, 2 lit softball fields, 8 soccer fields, an community center/gymnasium, 2 lit outdoor basketball courts, 3 playgrounds, and 4 lit tennis courts.
Space Coast Stadium is home to the Brevard Co. Manatees Single A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and the spring training site of the Washington Nationals. The stadium is listed to seat 8,100 people to capacity.

Schools
Ralph M. Williams, Jr. Elementary School (opened 1999), Manatee Elementary, Quest Elementary, and Viera High School.
Public Safety
Brevard County Station #47 is called upon to respond to vehicle accidents on nearby I-95 as well as locally. It also houses a Special Response Truck that responds to hazmat incidents county-wide
