Vedanayagam Samuel Azariah (1874 - January 1, 1945) was the first Indian bishop in the Churches of the Anglican Communion. He was consecrated as the first bishop of the new Diocese of Dornakal in December, 1912. A commemoration in his honor is celebrated on January 2 on the Calendar of saints
