Van Pelt Elementary School

The school was built in 1975 and was named after Joseph B. Van Pelt who was superintendent in the 1960s. There are grades 1-5 including [[kindergarten]] and [[pre-kindergarten]]. In 2010, there were approximately 400 children in the school. Suncrest Park is on the campus of this school with trees and wildlife. The school is actually on a cave which was filled in when the school was built.
