It offers a professional program leading to a [[Doctor of Pharmacy]] (Pharm.D) degree. In addition, the school also offer a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree as well as a joint Pharm.D/Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration. The college was established on October 16, 1946 and opened in 1947 with an enrollment of 144. The College of Pharmacy has teaching and research facilities on site at the University of Houston campus and in the [[Texas Medical Center]].
