UCLA Bruins baseball team represents the University of California, Los Angeles
in the NCAA baseball
competition. Having started playing in 1920, the team is a member of the Pacific-10 Conference and plays its home games at Jackie Robinson Stadium
. It has produced many Major

League baseball players over the years. In 2011, six former UCLA ballplayers were listed on the major league rosters: outfielder Ben Francisco

(Philadelphia) and shortstop Brandon Crawford

on June 4–7, 2010 at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The team won the regional by defeating the other three teams, UC Irvine Anteaters (37-19), the Kent State Golden Flashes
(39-23) and last year's national champions the LSU Tigers
(40-20). The Bruins advanced to the super-regional to play the Cal State Fullerton Titans
at their home stadium on June 11–13.
They advanced to Omaha and the College World Series
with an 8-1 victory in the third game of the series. The team is the first to win 51 games in a season. It became the first team to win a World Series game, defeating the Florida Gators
11-3 in the first game. The Bruins were winners over TCU
6-3 in the second game and defeated the Horned Frogs again to advance to the Championship Series.
The Bruins lost both games to South Carolina
in the CWS Championship Series to finish as the second best baseball team in 2010. The team was ranked #1 in an April Baseball America poll. Cody Regis, Beau Amaral and Trevor Bauer were named to the All CWS Tournament Team.
