Târnave Vineyard

The Târnave wine region is situated just north of Sibiu surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. It is one of the most important and oldest in Romania
,
being mentioned by Herodot about 600 b.C.
This region has a cool climate due to its altitude (about 300 meters over the see level) and high humidity provided by the nearby rivers Small and Big Târnava. As a result cool, fruity white wines with very good acidity are produced here.
