History

Tsakane was founded in the early 60's when black people living close to Brakpan were moved to a new designated area. The previous residential area is fondly known as "Old Location" by Tsakane residents. The township has grown since then to a point where it is difficult to tell where Tsakane ends and where Duduza

The township has grown in such a way that it recently opened a shopping mall called Tsakane Mall.Now it has a new rap artist goes by name of Skateman.
