In the United Kingdom and other countries, a transport association is an association of public transport

 authorities in a large urban area. The modes of transport can include both private and government owned bodies.

  • To have a standard ticketing and pricing system
  • To have a widely acceptable time table
  • To provide connection between different modes of transport, irrespective of the providing company
