The first phase of the museum opened in May of 2010 and has enjoyed two very successful operating seasons. The TRHC closed on October 31st, 2011 but will re-open to the public in the spring of 2012. Throughout the winter, TRHA members will be restoring the artifacts and preparing for next season. New members who are willing to help with this process are always welcome. Progress of the museum development, news of special events and museum hours as well as posting of news about Toronto area railway history may be followed by visiting the Toronto Railway Historical Association's web site.

Mission
The mission of the Toronto Railway Heritage Centre is to:- Capture and share the history of railways in Toronto and the surrounding area.
- Promote the achievements of Torontonians who have contributed to the development of railways in Canada.
- Collect and conserve artifacts relating to the development of railways in Canada.
- Develop an historically accurate record of Toronto’s railway history.
- Share the museum, its artefacts and historical information with the world via the Internet.
History
The Toronto Railway Historical Association (TRHA) was established in 2001 and is now incorporated as a federally registered charity. Its primary focus is the development of the Toronto Railway Heritage Centre (TRHC).The first phase of the museum opened in May of 2010 and has enjoyed two very successful operating seasons. The TRHC closed on October 31st, 2011 but will re-open to the public in the spring of 2012. Throughout the winter, TRHA members will be restoring the artifacts and preparing for next season.
