Cycling career
Peddie began his career in 1993, as a top amateur cyclist with the team TCBY. He won over a dozen top domestic races, including two medals at the national championships. He is known for being an outsider to the U.S. National Team process. He was selected by his peers to the U.S. Olympic Committee, where he served for four years (1996-2000). He re-ignited the debate on externalizing drug testing from the USOC, leading to the creation of the
