Tim is also the author and illustrator of children's books. He has written and illustrated The Care and Feeding of Dinosaurs (Millbrook Press, 2000),
Paleo Sharks: Survival of the Strangest (Chronicle Books, 2007), and Paleo Bugs: Survival of the Creepiest (Chronicle Books, 2008). Tim has several more book projects currently underway.
Tim's most recent book "Paleo Bugs: Survival of the Creepiest" has been selected by School Library Journal as one of the Best Books of 2008.
