-based political club. It is considered non-partisan or bi-partisan. The organization is open to professionals interested in political dialogue and discussion. There are groups with similar sounding names but no official relationship in many Florida cities. The membership structure is based on open membership with annual dues. The monthly meetings, where members hear from political speakers and get to ask questions, are at paid luncheons. The Charter and By-Laws of the organization prevent it from endorsing candidates or taking sides in political campaigns. The clubs have invited various campaigners and other politicians. The meetings are usually open to the media and may lead to reports on various politicians and issues.

History

The Club was founded and incorporated in Miami, Florida in 1964 by several individuals led by Stephen Paul Ross, a Miami political consultant. The name and format were later copied without permission from the original club in other Florida cities.
