Landscape

Located on a hill, there is a large mixture of trees and shrubs in the park which is bordered by flowering plants. Woodland and pond areas are habitats for wildlife. Near the pond there are a number of ornamental planted areas withwild flower bulb areas. Thompson's Park has a bowling green and pavilion, as well as large open grassed areas and a surfaced network of paths. The park holds a giant tree carving of the 'green man' and a bronze statue which forms the centrepiece of the fountain.
