The Theatre for the Performing Arts is a 7,000 seat theater located in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino
on the Las Vegas Strip
.
The theater was the only part of the complex retained during the 1996 reconstruction. However the renovations reduced the number of seats to 7,000 and it is now called The Theatre for the Performing Arts. The redesign retained the section curtains that allows the theater to be reconfigured to accommodate various sizes of audiences from 2,500 to 7,000.
The Aladdin and the theater gained international attention on July 18, 2004 when Linda Ronstadt
was escorted off the property after expressing support for documentary film
maker Michael Moore
during a concert performance.

The Performing Arts Center or the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts opened as a 7,500 seat theater for the Aladdin Las Vegas as a part of the 1972 renovations.The theater was the only part of the complex retained during the 1996 reconstruction.
