Overview
 
The Trinity Lion is the most prestigious award a sportsman can achieve at Trinity College, Kandy. The first Rugby Lions were awarded in 1915, to A. Halangoda and R. Ondaatje. Since then there have been 129 Rugby Lionsmen (until 2004). The list of famous Trinity Lions includes former Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Lakshman Kadirgamar
