Bravo has renewed the series for a second season.

The Real Housewives of Miami follows six of the most connected and influential women in Miami

 as they live their lives to the fullest in this sunny city where the party never stops.

Production history

On Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Bravo announced the series (then titled Miami Social Club) had been picked up, which was to be a restructuring of the failed 2009 series, Miami Social

. Later, after filming was completed on the series, Bravo chose instead to make it a new extension of the Real Housewives. Bravo announced on February 3, 2011 that the series would premiere later that month, they also announced that the fourth season premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City

originally scheduled for February 15, would be pushed back until April.

"The Real Housewives of Miami" has been renewed for a second season but not all of the housewives will return. Larsa Pippen may not be returning for the second season, because she is not a Miami resident. The home that was featured in the first season was the Pippen's family vacation home; Larsa is a Chicago resident.

Peter is 17 and a model and actor. Frankie is 13. Her husband Herman Echevarria is a well-known businessman with two sons from a previous marriage.
