The January 20, 2011 finale of the show became the highest rated episode with 4.2 million viewers in its dual prime time telecasts. It was surpassed by The Real Housewives of Atlanta

The series has since been renewed for a second season which premiered on September 5, 2011. The entire Season 1 cast will return, with Brandi Glanville and Dana Wilkey appearing as "Friends of the Housewives." The second season is in the process of re-editing after the death of Taylor Armstrong's husband, Russell, who committed suicide on Monday, August 15, 2011.

The first season of the show was released on DVD on June 28, 2011.

Taylor is extremely passionate about both her business and philanthropic work. She serves as Chief Creative Director of BeautyTicket.com and volunteers for the 1736 Family Crisis Center. While Taylor enjoys the luxurious lifestyle Beverly Hills has to offer, she lives by a "work hard, play hard" attitude that has enabled her to maintain her own charismatic identity.

After allegations of spousal abuse, and alleged money troubles, her husband Russell Armstrong took his own life and was found hanging by a friend, August 16, 2011.

The October 14 season premiere scored over 1.5 million viewers. The November 4 episode delivered 1.9 million viewers. The December 16 episode reached nearly 2.2 million viewers. The January 6 episode received its highest amount of viewers yet, with 3.5 million for the 9PM and 10PM airings combined. The series ratings have continued to grow, attracting 3.7 million viewers between the 9PM and 10PM airings for the January 13 episode, ranking No. 1 in the 9PM Timeslot Among Adults 18-49 Versus All Cable Competition.
