During this tour, three fans were crushed to death before a concert in Salt Lake City. The three youths were Jimmie Boyd Jr., 14, Curtis White Child, 14, and Elizabeth Glausi, 19. AC/DC released a statement immediately after they had heard what happened, stating that "nothing anyone can say or do will diminish the tragic loss or sense of grief caused by the deaths." They criticized "erroneous news reports that the band continued to perform with callous disregard for the safety of the audience."
