With the release of the The Razors Edge, AC/DC undertook a world tour, possibly the most publicised tour they had ever done. The success of the tour was fueled by the crowd- pleasing songs, such as "Thunderstruck", "Moneytalks", "Fire Your Guns", "The Razors Edge", and "Are You Ready", which were also included on the AC/DC Live Collector's Edition album.
During this tour, three fans were crushed to death before a concert in Salt Lake City. The three youths were Jimmie Boyd Jr., 14, Curtis White Child, 14, and Elizabeth Glausi, 19. AC/DC released a statement immediately after they had heard what happened, stating that "nothing anyone can say or do will diminish the tragic loss or sense of grief caused by the deaths." They criticized "erroneous news reports that the band continued to perform with callous disregard for the safety of the audience."
During the Australian leg of the tour, the band was supported by the controversial Sydney band Candy Harlots. Members of AC/DC were extremely impressed with the band's performance, despite the fact that it was only their fifteenth show since the then new singer Aiz Lynch had joined.
