Dion garnered tremendous success with The Colour of My Love, particularly in the UK, where the album stood for five weeks at the top of the British albums chart, while "Think Twice" reigned simultaneously atop the British singles chart. This accomplishment was last achieved by The Beatles
. Both album and single spent 7 weeks in total at the top of the UK charts.
In Canada, the album has sold 1.4 million copies and it was certified diamond. Also in Japan it has topped the 1 million units sales point and was certified with a million award.
The album was also successful in Australia and New Zealand, where it was certified 8x platinum and 6x platinum, respectively. The Colour of My Love became the second best-selling album of 1995 in Australia and spent the longest run at number 1 for that year.
