Encyclopedia
Sun ‘n Lake of Sebring, Florida is 12 square miles (31.1 km²) of conserved green spaces and custom homes. As an independent special district, Sun ‘n Lake has an elected, not appointed, governing board, employing a general manager who oversees complete services from fire protection through utilities.

A distinctive golf community, Sun ‘n Lake is home to 2 award-winning golf courses - Deer Run, a par-72, classic Don Dyer-designed golf course, and Turtle Run, a par-72 course designed by renowned architect Charles Ankrom. Both feature obstacles that challenge even the most experienced golfers and were named best golf courses in Highlands County for 2007, 2008 and 2009. Other amenities of the Sun ‘n Lake community include a state-of-the-art clubhouse that opened in December 2009, a new recreational center, opening late summer 2010, world-class healthcare, local and regional schools, shopping and dining.
