STV began relaunching the website in August 2008, with the launch of their online catch up service. The News section moved into BETA testing a few weeks later, with programme-specific pages in October, starting with Britannia High

. The stv.tv homepage moved to BETA in December. The relaunch was complete in April 2009.

STV Player


In August 2008, STV launched a new catch-up service on their website: stv.tv/video. The new service was similar to the ITV catch-up service and features most of STV's main programming on the website, for up to 30 days after it was first broadcast on the channel.
