Unlike any of their previous singles, "Stuttering (Don't Say)" failed to make any significant impact on the airplay charts, only appearing at the lower segments of some sub-categories airplay Billboard charts. Sales were also weak, as the single only made a brief appearance at #33 on the Sales chart, leading to the commercial failure of the single, which became the groups last single and their only one to fail to make it both on the Hot 100 and the Bubbling Under Hot 100.

A music video was also made, but it was never released.
