. The comic was about several of the cartoonist's real life friends living in the student ghetto. Miller won awards for his work including Michigan cartoonist of the year and Michigan State University Mr. Congeniality 1997. His frank and honest depictions of Michigan State Rugby won him fans from as far as Tonga.

In 2006 the all of the comic strips originally published in The State News were released in a book entitled: Student Ghetto: The Last Stop for Cheap Beer (ISBN 978-0-9792381-0-9).
