Strovilia

Strovilia is a small village located right at the border of the de facto Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
with the British Sovereign Base Area
of Dhekelia. It is the site of a Green Line crossing.
The Cyprus UN buffer zone boundaries are defined as the cease fire lines of 16 August 1974. When the cease fire came into effect, the Turkish forces had not reached the Sovereign Base Area (SBA) boundary near Strovilia.
This is the only place on the island where the Greek-Cypriot south borders the Turkish-Cypriot north directly. Strovilia is not an enclave, but a small fragment as there are two neighbours.
