Steven Petrow is an American journalist and author who writes frequently on gay and lesbian issues as well as manners and etiquette.

Life and work

Journalist Steven Petrow is one of America’s foremost authorities on etiquette and manners and has carved out a niche in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) market. He is the author of The Essential Book of Gay Manners and Etiquette , the LGBT bestseller published by HarperCollins. He’s currently the Huffington Post’s manners columnist. Petrow’s monthly column, “Queeries,” is syndicated in more than two-dozen national newspapers and Web sites.
