Stephen Thomas Erlewine (born ca. June 1973) is a senior editor for allmusic. He is the author of thousands of artist biographies and record reviews, as well as a freelance writer, and has written several liner notes. He was also frontman and guitarist of his own band Who Dat?
Erlewine studied at the University of Michigan where he majored in English and was music editor (1993-94) and then arts editor (1994-95) of the school paper The Michigan Daily.

Erlewine studied at the University of Michigan where he majored in English and was music editor (1993-94) and then arts editor (1994-95) of the school paper The Michigan Daily. He has also appeared on VH1.
Erlewine is the nephew of musician and allmusic founder Michael Erlewine.
He has contributed to a number of books, such as All Music Guide to Rock: The Definitive Guide to Rock, Pop, and Soul, All Music Guide to Hip-Hop: The Definitive Guide to Rap & Hip-Hop, etc.
