Personal life
Hart grew up in Ontario, Canada. A bit of a rebel during his teen years, he chafed at the rules and rigors of school, but had to take on the responsibility of guiding his younger siblings when his parents divorced. In 1976 he served at the Montreal Olympics as a highly trained, heavily armed, military escort for International Olympic Delegates.
