. It was opened in 1866 as a temporary wooden building, but was rebuilt as a Gothic-polychrome building between 1866 and 1874. It contains an intact early pipe organ installed in 1868 to the design of George Finchamby, a leading nineteenth century organ builder who arrived in Australia in 1852.
