itself is a very young town, not in regards to the town itself but rather the people that inhabit it.
Many middle to upper class families reside here, most of which are just starting out with children. Notable for its abundance of wildlife and heavily forested areas which surround continuously growing residential developments, St-Lazare has, in just a few years, grown to become a thriving city with a population of around 17,000 people. It is located just west of the island of Montreal, about 30 minutes from the Ontario border.

Midget team

The midget AAA Stallions team is the highest level of competition (junior team has been added in 2008) that a Stallions player can reach. The midget level team was awarded to St. Lazare after one successful inaugural bantam level season which saw the bantam team go 11-3 overall, ultimately reaching the Presidents Cup, where they lost to the Laval Centre-Sud Cowboys 49-35. The first year midget team, under head coach Ray Gaston, would go on to have a regular season 5-5 record. The Stallions made a determined run in the playoffs, going on to the Jack Simpson cup game, held at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium at McGill University

. Here, they would be defeated by the Joliette Pirates, 36-14. The current 2006 midget team is headlined by a majority of the roster that brought the inaugural bantam Stallions all the way to the Presidents Cup finals in 2004. They finished the regular season 8-2, tied for first with 3 other teams and, following the tie-breaking procedure, finished a respectable third behind the Laurentian Wildcats and the St. Hubert Rebels. The Stallions went on to win the Jack Simpson Cup on November 10th, 2006 in their second year of competition, defeating the Greenfield Park Packers 28-23.
