St. James' Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee
. It was founded as a mission of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in 1857. The current building was built in 1867. It burned on December 31, 1872 with only the walls and bell tower surviving the fire. The church reopened on April 19, 1874.
