. The school was built in 1958 and is covered under the diocese of Portsmouth. The school was formally known as St George V.A. Catholic School for Boys until it became a specialist school in both Humanities and Science. Saint George Catholic College has since developed the facilities in these areas offering modern equipment and resources.
The School has had much refurbishment in recent times with the building of a brand new Arts and Sports wing built in 2003 and a redesign of the playground linked in with this.
