Maxwell Crosby Halahan was priest at this church during the 1970's. Halahan was convicted at Portsmouth Crown Court on September 9th 2011 of several sexual abuse charges of a choir boy at St. Faiths during the 1970's. He was sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court on 30th September 2011. Use the link to enter his name in the courts listings and you can see a break-down of the case. Halahan was sentenced to 3 years prison on 30th September 2011 by Judge Roger Hetherington. The judge ordered Halahans computer equipment seized and that he must remain on the sex offenders register indefinately. Portsmouth Daily News.
Halahan had a previous convictions of sexual abuse of a boy in 1998.
